Excitement is building in our offices as we lead up to the 59th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
FLIBs has always been an important event in the Viking calendar, but even more so this year, since we officially opened our Fort Lauderdale Office back in June.
Sue Price, Director of Operations for Viking Crew in Fort Lauderdale is excited to be flying the Viking flag at this years show.
Having over 20 years of experience in the Yacht Industry, Sue brings with her a wealth of knowledge which we are excited to see grow within our company.
This month, Sue is joined by Louise Hunter, Senior Crew Management Coordinator from our UK office. Louise will be based in Fort Lauderdale and assisting Sue for the next two months. She is looking forward to experiencing her first ever FLIBs and excited to see all that the show has to offer.
The Viking ladies will be joined for the Boat Show by Matthew Jaenicke, Group Managing Director, Mark Jaenicke, Training and Performance Director and Ken Hickling, Non-Executive Director who will all be travelling from our UK Headquarters for the show.
Matthew, Mark and Ken have been attending FLIBs for many years but are particularly excited to see what this year has in store for them since opening the new office in the area.
There will be many opportunities to catch the Viking Team at FLIBs this year, at various locations.
We will have a stand located within the Superyacht UK area alongside Savage Lighting and Fendequip, where our team will be on hand to discuss all of the services that we can provide under the Viking Maritime Group, from Crew Management to Crew Placement to Crew Deployment. As well as showcasing all that our world class training facility, the Maritime Skills Academy (MSA) has to offer and the work we do with Officer Trainee Cadets through Chiltern Maritime.
As USSA members you will also find us within the USA Pavilion, where we can be available for meetings. This is where we will be hosting a PIMMS drinks reception and supporting the award presentation for the Top Notch Table Setting Competition on Friday 2nd November.
Keeping with tradition we will be attending the International Superyacht Society breakfast on Tuesday 30th as well as the ISS 28th annual Design & Leadership Awards Gala.
A first for the team this year will be the Yacht Tee Golf Competition, where up to 100 industry professionals will join on the golf course. Also we will be attending the USSA Annual General Meeting on Friday 2nd.
We look forward to what promises to be a great show this year, but if you can’t make it, why not drop by our office (opening times 10am to 1pm) and meet with Sue and Louise. We are located at 1845 Cordova Road,Suite 206, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Outside of these times is by appointment only.
