Debbie's primary function is to assist the Operations Director in the selection, recruitment and training of the Officer Trainees (Cadets).

As part of her function she is required to liaise with the Nautical Colleges where the cadets undertake their training, and also with the Cadets, as well as making college and ship visits to monitor the Cadets' progress, and to look after the cadets' general welfare whilst they are under training.

Prior to joining Viking, Debbie worked for a large British cruise company within Fleet Personnel. During this period she was involved initially within the Training Department, administering the Officer training requirements, and then moved over to fleet personnel recruitment, where she gained experience in the recruitment and training of the Officer Cadets.

As Cadet & Training Administrator, Kath's role is to support the other team members with our Officer Trainee (Cadets) scheme.

Kath assists in the recruitment and administration of all officer trainees (cadets). In particular, this involves overseeing the welfare of cadets at all times, whether at sea or at college, to ensure they achieve their chosen qualification and ultimately a rewarding career at sea.

Prior to joining Viking, Kath was a Market Research Manager. This role required considerable managerial and organisational skills, talking to customers, interpreting opinions and behaviour, and reporting and presenting results to directors and colleagues.
