Since its humble beginnings in 1988 Dieter has been at the "helm" of Viking Recruitment, steering the company from strength to strength, year on year.
He is ultimately responsible for the overall Company - as they say 'the buck stops with him'. In addition, Dieter provides a valuable contribution to the industry itself, with his involvement in many initiatives to improve maritime awareness in careers and training. He is ideally placed in this, sitting as he does, on various committees and steering groups such as the International Superyacht Society.
He oversees a team of dedicated professionals who operate a company, which may not be the largest, but is most probably the best positioned in today's Cruise and Superyacht industry.

As Managing Director, Matthew is responsible for overseeing all Offices, Associates and Departments worldwide within the Viking group and reports directly to the Chairman and other Directors.
Matthew is also instrumental in the advancement of the company in different sectors, new business/Clients and of course making sure existing Clients and Candidates are more than happy with all the services they receive.
Matthew joined Viking in 2001 as Marine Administration Coordinator, but prior to this his seagoing career spanned 8 years having spent the last 5 working in the Hotel department of Holland America Line and Windstar Cruises. His early career was spent in the Guest Services department at Stena Sealink, sailing out of Dover on cross Channel ferries.
In keeping with all the team at Viking he is determined to ensure that administrative standards are in line with the latest Quality Assurance standards and that they, together with all Client Company policies and procedures, are constantly reviewed and enhanced.

Since joining Viking in 2003, Natalie has been heavily involved in the advancement of the company with the creation of the online recruitment database and the rebranding of the company image.
With this all now completed, her main focus is to ensure that the new image is maintained, on everything, from advertising and company literature to events and exhibitions.
Prior to joining Viking, Natalie gained her OOW Certificate of Competence after completing a Deck Cadetship sponsored by Trinity House. From this, she gained a wealth of maritime knowledge which is invaluable to her fellow colleagues within Viking and the clients she interacts with.

Paul has been working in the industry for many years, having first joined P&O in 1997. Since 2000 he has travelled extensively throughout the world for Swan Hellenic, including Antarctica, the Far East, Middle East, India, as well as all corners of Europe, South America and the Caribbean.
Paul is no stranger to Viking, having spent a year working as part of the Recruitment team prior to returning to sea as Deputy Cruise Director in 2008. Based in Auckland, Andrew brings a strong superyacht background to the group, having 20 years experience in the marine industry in a variety of management roles both in the UK and New Zealand. For the past decade he has been part of a management team, building award winning sailing superyachts. Andrew's specific skills are in the development of quality systems and processes, vessel certification and construction management.
A successful, competitive sailor from a young age, Andrew has a passion for all things marine. Given his career path Andrew has a well rounded understanding of the project management and skill basis needed to manage a vessel from build and throughout its life, and therefore the skills needed to maintain these vessels.
The Auckland office provides the Viking group with a 24/7 service for clients around the globe with our Viking range of services. Andrew will be spearheading the development of additional services for clients specifically in the superyacht market.

Prior to joining Viking, Holly worked for a large corporation specialising in the recruitment, selection and training of Ships Officers worldwide. Vanessa's primary function is to assist the Marine Training Manager in the selection, recruitment and training of the Officer Trainees (Cadets).
As part of her function she is required to liaise with the Nautical Colleges where the Officer Trainees undertake their training, and also with the Officer Trainee's, as well as making college and ship visits to monitor the Trainee's progress, and to look after the Trainee's general welfare whilst they are under training.

Kevin's background experience includes 30 plus years service in the British Merchant Navy and specifically with the Cruise and Ferry sectors of the industry. Starting at sea in 1978 on general cargo ships as a Galley Steward, Kevin being in the Catering sector saw his future being on Cruise ships and soon joined 'Cunard Line in 1979. In 1992 he left to work with 'British Channel Ferries' as Chief Steward. He then returned to Cunard again in 1996 as a Junior Hotel Officer before progressing soon to the rank of Asst Hotel Manager. Kevin then dropped anchor in 2000 and moved ashore as Recruitment Manager for 'Cunard & Seabourn Cruise Line'. In 2006, being part of the Southampton based Carnival UK group. Kevin became General Manager of Fleet Personnel for Seabourn. Recently in October 2011, following management struture changes at Seabourn, Kevin was very pleased to join Viking.
Having experienced a career at sea which progressed through all ranks in the Hotel departments before moving to senior management level shore-side, Kevin is always keen to highlight opportunities to new candidates seeking a life and career at sea.
