The Maritime Skills Academy (MSA) and Interior Training Academy (ITA) have partnered to meet the growing demand for premium interior service and safety training required by superyacht crew. This exciting new collaboration will provide superyacht crew with a superb choice for all their training needs, including a portfolio of STCW safety training, development training and PYA GUEST Interior training.
The Maritime Skills Academy, part of The Viking Family of Companies, provides vital training for the maritime industry with its extensive portfolio of MCA accredited STCW courses, refresher training and professional development courses.
The state of the art training facility is located in Dover, Kent. All STCW safety training is completed in our dedicated purpose-built survival pool complex, full fire training ground and lifeboat centre.
The MSA covers all sectors of the maritime industry from cruise ships, superyachts, ports and harbours to marine logistics and offshore wind farms, also working with land based industries such as power stations and the emergency services. The MSA is also an Approved Marlins English Testing Centre.
The Interior Training Academy CEO Terry Gilmore has over 40 years of experience of working within the Super Yacht Industry. Having worked with a number of high profile owners, he is well placed to impart vast knowledge and experience of service, which ensures that Superyachts get the very highest levels of Training. The Interior Training Academy is passionate about raising the levels of service in yachting to a 7-star standard.
ITA has assembled a highly professional team and are accredited to run the PYA GUEST programme. This includes Introduction, and all advanced modules These courses take place in the heart of Antibes at our new training centre.
ITA also provide an extensive Onboard Training and Consultancy service which can be tailored to fit each individual yacht’s requirements.
