LISW17 works because the strong number of high level industry events and networking opportunities will guarantee attendance by the global shipping industry. Either because they are members of the various Supporting Organisations and coming into London to attend their specific trade association or sponsor-led event, or because they see value in staying and attending other aligned events – so benefiting from the high level networking opportunities.

The involvement of international policymakers in LISW is vital to internationalising the week and helping to secure the attendance of industry VIPs.

Themes for the LISW17 Conference and Week

Themes for LISW17 will form a framework for debate at the official LISW17 Conference as well as for the various event organisers to follow when deciding which event they may wish to hold. The overarching theme is: ‘Tomorrow’s Maritime World: UK – the centre of maritime business’, LISW17 will explore five key topics: Tomorrow’s Prosperity, Tomorrow’s Industry Professionals, Tomorrow’s Business Solutions, Tomorrow’s Environment and Tomorrow’s Partnerships.
