Course Aims
Crisis Management & Human Behaviour (for passenger vessels), Duration: 1 day
To increase awareness of persons responsible for the safety of passengers in an emergency situation with particular reference to:
- Shipboard emergency procedures;
- The optimum use of resources;
- A controlled response to emergencies;
- The control of passengers and other personnel during emergency situations; and the establishment and maintenance of effective communications.
Crowd Management (for passenger vessels), Duration: ½ day
- To increase awareness of crew members to probable reactions of passengers in an emergency situation;
- To provide information about improved passenger communication and control techniques; and
- To encourage best practice in embarking, disembarking and the general handling of passengers with special reference to passengers with special needs.
ISPS Ship Security Officer (SSO), Duration: 3 days
To provide SSO's with a better understanding of:
- The ISPS Code
- The roles and responsibilities of the SSO
- Guidance on the application of the ISPS Code
- Guidance on the development of appropriate training programmes for use onboard ship.
Environmental Awareness, Duration: 1-3 days
To provide shipboard and shore personnel with a better understanding of marine environmental regulations and a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of shipboard personnel.
Managing a Multi-cultural team, Duration: Varied on Content
Offers Managers a chance to understand the dynamics of a multi-cultural work environment, how to get the very best our of a multi-cultural team, how culture affects the communication process and how to resolve conflict within such team.
Management Training, Duration: Varied on Content
Various topics can be covered dependent on specific requirement.
All of the above can be preformed at our offices in Dover or at another appropriate location including the vessel.
